Coconut is native to Southeast Asia, Indonesia and the Pacific Islands, and mainly distributed in Asia, Africa, and Latin America. Coconut is primarily produces from Philippines, India, Malaysia, Sri Lanka and other countries, which is also cultivated in Southern Guangzhou, Leizhou Peninsula, Hainan, Taiwan, and southern Yunnan tropical areas of China.

As a healthy food, the medical value of coconut has been clearly described in the Shi Ji (Historical Records) that can be traced back to 2000 years ago. Coconut is provided with the efficacies of anti-inflammation, disinfestations, detoxification, and moistening the intestines, and has a significant effect on oral inflammation, and tooth decay. It is particularly effective to eliminate the oral and body odor. After the eating of the coconut oil for around one week, the eater will surprisingly find the significant improvement on the constipation and the foul smell of defecation.

As a health food for pets, coconut oil is born out of but better than human food, because the sweat glands of pets have been degraded unlike human beings who can expel toxin through sweat glands and other ways in addition to kidney detoxification. The food requirements are rather critical to pets. In addition to the strict control over the salt and sugar in the process of producing and processing food, there are rigorous review criteria against the E. coli, aflatoxin and other indicators. Theoretically, the intake of 0 is the best, because pets may ingest salt and sugar through a variety of other uncontrollable channels in addition to the passive intake from food.

Coconut oil falls into refined coconut oil and virgin coconut oil. Refined coconut oil is made by the direct exposure of a whole coconut that is directly split with a tool to the sunshine. In this process, a lot of bacteria and mold will be produced, and a large number of aflatoxin and E. coli will be bred. The refining of a whole coconut cannot guarantee the quality of oil and the hygiene and safety of food. At present, this processing technique is applied to countries with backward production conditions. The refined coconut oil cannot be made into refined oil except for the deep processing by the decolorization and deliquescence after the first high-temperature refining, and then the chemical precipitation.

The virgin coconut oil is also known as cold-pressed coconut oil. The fresh coconut meat is extracted from a pollution-free coconut harvested from the original coconut tree. This process is free from high temperature, or any chemical solvents, but uses of the physical precipitation

The quality of the virgin coconut oil is the best, and followed by refining. The intuitive discretion is firstly to see that the high-quality virgin coconut oil shall be transparent and colorless in a liquid state, and shall be white as snow in a solid state. If the oil appears yellowish or opacity, the quality is worse. Secondly, smell that the high-quality coconut oil has a hint of coconut flavor, while the poor-quality coconut oil has a tangier flavor. As the cold-pressed coconut oil is made by pressing the selected fresh coconut at low temperature, and applying the physical precipitation method, there is generally some undistinguishable small coconut meat at the bottom of the bottle, which will not affect the use.

In the market, the coconut oil product now is presented with chaotic origin of place, including the United States, France, New Zealand, Taiwan, Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines and other countries, which can be described as mixed and different versions of saying. Some of these countries do not produce coconut, let alone the production of coconut oil. Coconut oil never has this false certification that the import represents the quality. The nutrient content of global coconut is basically the same, but the climate and soil of the place of origin may somewhat affect certain trace elements of coconut. To ensure the high quality of the coconut oil, the original coconut shall guarantee its freshness, which is not subject to the environmental pollution. The process adopted must be scientific, reasonable, hygiene and healthy, which must be the virgin pressing in low temperature. Only the output of coconut oil in this way is the most high-end products. China is the largest country of origin for coconuts. Since the ancient times, Hainan coconut is known as the representative of China's coconut, while Wenchang coconut stands for Hainan coconut. Wenchang is located in the coastal area with low altitude, and enjoys the high temperature, frequent rain and adequate sunshine. Its soil is the ocean alluvial layer, which is the best choice for the growth of coconut tree. Wenchang is a world-class major producer of coconut, where, the production chain for the coconut-related series of products has been taken shape. The production of coconut oil is completely meet the requirements of pollution-free raw materials and advanced processing technology. The processing ensures the early press at low temperature. The high-quality coconut oil produced from Wenchang is well deserved to stand at the top of the world coconut oil in terms of the quality.
